Mr. Edouard Bizumuremyi – Minister Counsellor, General Consulate of the Republic of Rwanda, Dubai
Mr. Edouard Bizumuremyi currently serves as the Minister Counsellor at the General Consulate of the Republic of Rwanda in Dubai, a position he has held since November 2019. In this role, he plays a key part in fostering Rwanda’s diplomatic and economic relationships in the Middle East.
Before his current appointment, Mr. Bizumuremyi served as the Commercial Attaché at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Rwanda to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva from 2009 to 2019. His responsibilities included managing economic and trade matters at the United Nations, with a particular focus on the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the International Trade Centre (ITC), and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Additionally, he represented Rwanda in global trade negotiations at the World Trade Organization (WTO), where he developed extensive expertise in international negotiations.
Mr. Bizumuremyi holds a master’s degree in political science, international relations, and communication from the University of Geneva, equipping him with a strong foundation in diplomacy, international trade, and communication strategies.
