With over 30 years of experience, he has been instrumental in strengthening Angola’s global relations, from shaping policy as the Director of the Directorate of Europe to enhancing international cooperation as Consul General in Dubai.
Educated in Cuba with a Master’s in International Relations, Ambassador Maiato has played a vital role in advancing peace processes in Africa, such as in Guinea-Bissau and the DRC. A dedicated Professor of International Relations, he is also known for pioneering research that supports Angola’s regional and global influence.
